Arriving from the States around 9am, the Manager not only had the maids go directly to clean my room, but gave me access to a shower in the meantime. He even carried my bags! I've been in 5-star hotels with less service than that. Will stay here again!

I find it very comfortable for its position in the zone1, at only 250mt from the Victoria Station and the tube, and with the Gatwick Airport at only 30minutes by train. The room was clean and bed too. The staff is available with the customers. The standard of the rooms isn't too high but without excessive claims may be a good solution.

My room was clean & I saved heaps of money by purchasing my meals from the Supermarket 1 minute away & utilizing the kitchen which I feel was of high standard. Also it was so convenient to have so many eateries nearby if I didn't feel like cooking. Victoria Station is the hub & buses & trains to all attractions were just around the corner. Would definitley stay here again & will highly recomend to all my friends in Australia.

The location was excellent -- a couple minutes walk from Victoria Station, a short walk away from Buckingham Palace, and a short bus ride away from Big Ben. The room was basic but indeed very clean. The bathroom was tiny, but very functional and the shower had great water pressure. There were also many different restaurants and cafes nearby. If I have one complaint it would be regarding the noisy Sainsbury's delivery trucks that would come late at night and early in the morning. My room faced directly across from the Sainsbury's deliver garage and it was quite difficult to fall asleep with all the noise coming from the deliveries, and even more annoying being woken up by it again in the early morning. I realize that this is not at all the fault of Goldsmid House, but I thought I'd mention it as feedback. Many thanks to Goldsmid House for giving me a wonderful 'home' while in London for a few days. I will definitely stay there again when I return to London.

Jennifer Kayahara, julio 2010: I enjoyed my stay apart from the fact that signaling problems led to train delays, and my delayed train led me to arrive five minutes after eight on the first day, by which time the office was shut down, and so I was forced to seek alternative accommodations. I knew going in, of course, that I couldn't check in after 20:00 and so I suppose it was my own fault (though I wasn't expecting my train to be so late!), but it was stressful and expensive and I'm not sure whether I'd risk a similar event in the future. Apart from that, the location was excellent and the facilities were generally as expected.

Reception staff were very helpful and the room was very clean. Areas for improvement should include the repair of the reception main gate which is defective. Booking a business training course last minute on a budget, this was a great alternative to the cramped shared-bathroom B&B rooms left on offer (usually for higher prices). Internet pricing seemed a little expensive for a 2-night stay (charged at a minimum of a week) and a pay-as-go system would have suited me better. (Hall was self-catering so could not rate breakfast.)
